The CFC Hartford HealthCare Columbus Day Classic 

October 6th & 7th, 2018

 

TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

CFC invites you to participate in our 20th Annual CFC Columbus Day Classic to be held on Columbus Day weekend, Saturday, Oct. 6th and Sunday, Oct. 7th.   This tournament will include Premier and Select level teams for both boys and girls, U10 – U15. The Connecticut Junior Soccer Association (CJSA) and the United States Youth Soccer Association (USYSA) have sanctioned this tournament.

 

 

Each team entering the tournament must be currently registered with their State, National Association or any other US Soccer affiliated club.  Teams from outside Region I and New Jersey must have an authorized copy of the USYSA Permission to Travel Form at registration.

FORMAT AND RULES

All age groups will play 3 game minimum that will consist of two 30 min halves with running clock for injuries.

U10 – roster 12
U11 – roster 16
U12 – roster 16
U13 – roster 22
U14 – roster 22
U15 – roster 22
 
3 guest players allowed

The three-referee system will be used for all age brackets, except for U10. Individual player awards will be given to the winners. 
*U-10's will play a 4 game round Robin Tournament. No trophies, No Finals.

*Forfeit - Any game that ends in a forfeit will result in a 5-0 victory.


Playoffs & Tie Breakers

3 pts for a win
1 pt for a tie
0 pts for a loss
 
First Tie Breaker – Head to Head
Second Tie Breaker – Goal Differential (Plus 5 Max per game)
Third Tie Breaker – Goals For (5 max per game)
Fourth Tie Breaker – Goals Against (fewest)
Fifth Tie Breaker – Most Shutouts
Sixth Tie Breaker – Penalty Shootout

Please note the following for registration purposes.

1) Please check in ONE hour prior to kick off at the location of your first game. Each location will have a registration tent to check in at.

2) Please bring the following: 

- copy of your roster
- a set of medical release forms (your club form will suffice) for all of your players which you will keep.
- Player Passes. No pass, no play. For insurance purposes ALL players must have a pass. (a birth certificate is NOT a pass)

Please note teams can use a club pass. Players can play up in age group but CANNOT play down.
